Allegoria, the FW 22-23 collection by Society Limonta
In “Allegoria”, the Fall – Winter 22-23 collection by Society Limonta, three colours become allegories of three periods of time: malva, petrolio and verbena represent fall, winter and the hatching of spring respectively. As the literary device of an allegory represents the abstract with a concrete image, so the seasonal colours selected for the new collection evoke the typical sensations of the three moments of the winter season. Represented by malva, fall is characterised by colours reminiscent of the fruits of the season and wine, filling the home with an intimate atmosphere. Petrolio is an invite to resist the rigid cold and to fully enjoy every room of your home, from the bedroom to the kitchen, when nature falls asleep and winter arrives. Finally, a verbena flower bud anticipates the warm breakthrough of spring, bringing a glimpse of the near rebirth.
The pictures of the new collection were taken in the spaces of the Kubach – Wilmsen Foundation, designed by the architect Tadao Ando nearby Frankfurt. Here, Society’s essential and minimalistic look meets the solemnity and grandeur of the only museum of contemporary stone sculpture in the world.
As the most emblematic pieces of the collection, LAGOON throws and cushions in jacquard cashmere and wool are available in colours malva, pacifico, crab and verbena. The bed is decorated with BARRE, the new bed linen with a stripy jacquard pattern on a garment overdyed, double-layered cotton voile. Perfect to play with tone on tone, BARRE dissolves the saturated seasonal nuances with a light neutral base woven with a darker yarn and overdyed with the garment dye technique.
NAP pillowcases in printed ramié tone down the seasonal colours with different designs and patterns: CLOUD pillowcases are inspired by the traditional Ikat technique; DECO’ by a textile with natural abstract motifs found in Limonta’s historic archives; RICE have a pattern of small dots similar to rice grains; and NAP LINEE’s pattern is made of alternating thin stripes in seasonal colours and neutral nuances. COZY, a soft throw made of alpaca wool and linen, decorates the end of the bed and is available in both seasonal and neutral colours.
New for the FW 22-23 collection, the soft square cushions made of different fabrics like LAGOON, DES, LINEA, MULTI and NIDONE are the perfect accessory to decorate beds, armchairs or sofas. DES, available in ghiaccio or fumo, is made of mélange wool, while LINEA, in grosgrain wool, has a texturized look thanks to the thick small three-dimensional lines. MULTI, in bouclé alpaca wool, is an exquisite reinterpretation of a fine fibre thanks to the mélange effect. Finally, made of wool woven with a macro-waffle pattern, NIDONE has a textured and impactful look.
Made of printed abaca, the three tablecloths MEG, BLUME and LAY present floral or geometrical patterns. MEG, available in colour iceberg, features a light blue floral print intertwined with thin branches in the background. On BLUME, in colour malva, flowers give space to an unexpected caramel-coloured line. LAY, available in two colours, petrolio and verbena, entices a game of concentric squares in contrasting colours, which gives the table a strong and architectural look.
The ramié napkins present the same designs as the printed pillowcases: CLOUD, DECO’, LINEE and RICE. In addition, TAB FR napkins and MAYA placemats in linen are available in the new seasonal colours malva and petrolio.
The new seasonal hues malva and petrolio bring colour even to the most intimate roomof the house, the bathroom, with DRAI towel set and bath towel, LIPE towels in waffle weave linen, and MOLTO and PLISS bath mats, in cotton and plissé cotton respectively.
